Sharing Holiday Cheer with Our Students’ Families and Communities

Happy Holidays from Smith Chason College! As a friendly reminder, all Smith Chason College and WCUI School of Medical Imaging campuses are closed Monday, December 16th, and Monday, January 2nd, to allow our faculty, staff, and students to spend the holidays with their loved ones. We hope all of you take the time this holiday to slow down and celebrate the amazing family, friends, colleagues, loved ones, and support systems surrounding you.

Giving Back to Our Students’ Families & Our Communities

Our December philanthropic initiatives hit a little closer to home this year. Our Smith Chason College Los Angeles campus and Ontario campus are hosting their own “Angel Tree Program”. The Angel Tree program is intended to help provide gifts to children of our beloved medical imaging and nursing students in hopes of bringing joy to their children and their homes.  Students at our LA and Ontario campuses were encouraged to enter the raffle where families will be selected at random to receive wrapped gifts for their children off their wish list. Students who win the raffle will be notified by the Angel Tree team to pick up their gifts on campus to place under their family Christmas tree or to celebrate the holiday closest to their hearts.

In addition, the Los Angeles campus is contributing to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Literally Healing Book Drive. The Los Angeles campus is accepting donations through Wednesday, December 14th on campus.

CHLA Book Donation Needs & Requirements:

CHLA Cannot Accept:

  • Used books (Even if in pristine condition)
  • Holiday and Religious books
  • Independently Published books

For the December season, our San Marcos campus will be working with Wreaths Across America- San Marcos, a foundation that each December on National Wreaths Across America Day coordinates wreath-laying ceremonies at more than 3,400 additional cemetery locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes. The San Marcos Campus will be sponsoring a veterans’ wreath at the San Marcos City Cemetery.

In order to help alleviate the stress of not only providing day-to-day resources for their family but a holiday dinner, gifts, and celebration, the Phoenix campus will be adopting Smith Chason College students and their families again for the holiday season to help provide them the holiday experience they deserve.

We invite you to find a way to give back this season. Below are links to ways to give back to your local communities

Another Amazing Year at Smith Chason College

As we get closer to the end of the year, we are reminded of how grateful we are for the amazing family that makes up Smith Chason College. To our students who selflessly chose to pursue an education where they can make a lasting impact in the healthcare field, we see how hard you are working and applaud you for being so dedicated as you complete your journey. We look forward to seeing you become the next best sonographers, MRI technologists, and nurses our community needs.

To our fantastic team of faculty, staff, externship partners, and affiliates who have worked together the last 365 days of 2022 to support our students. We thank each and every one of you for the hard work you’ve put in this year to help our students and our institution learn and grow. We are proud to have this team and look forward to all that we can accomplish again in the new year.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
